What Christians Want To Know
What Christians Want To Know is a website designed to be a trusted source on highly searched for Christian topics and questions; we rely on the Holy Bible as the truth. We intend to equip, encourage, and energize Christians through the truth revealed in God’s holy word. Our writers will come from different backgrounds and have different writing styles but all will use the Bible as their source. We encourage those interested in writing for us to join us in making this website a trusted source in the Christian community.
What Christians Want to Know holds to values that represent the essence and personality of the Body of Christ. They are the standards by which our culture and unity are kept. The contributors of this website hold fast to the Christian virtues below:
- We value growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord (2 Pet. 3:18).
- We value learning from each other as iron sharpens iron so we sharpen one another (Prov. 27:17).
- We value God’s calling of those in ministry (Mat. 28:18-20; Acts 2:17; Gal. 3:28).
- We value the advancement of the Gospel of Christ for the establishment of salvation, forgiveness, and the perpetuation of Christianity (Mat. 28:18-20).
- We value the pursuit of unity (at the foot of the cross) among brothers and sisters in the Christian faith (Eph. 4:13).
- We value the independence of ministers so that they may follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in the direction and government of their ministries (Act. 8:29; 10:19; 11:12; 13:2-4; 16:6-7; 20:22, 21:4).
- We value as our only creed, the inerrant Word of God (scripture) as being perfect and the guidance of the Holy Spirit (Psalm 19:7).
- We value leadership that duplicates our Lord’s servant heart (Mat. 20:27; John 13:14).
- We value fellowship among Christians for the sake of strength, encouragement, edification, exhortation, prayer, and support (Rom.14:19; 1 Thes. 5:11; Eph. 2:21-22; Php. 4:8)
- We serve under the authority of Jesus, who is the Shepherd of the Church: “And he [God] put all things under his [Christ] feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.” (Eph.1:22-23)
The contributors of What Christians Want to Know submit to the will of God and when error is exposed, pledge to correct the writings to align with theologically sound doctrine and biblical truth (Gal. 6:1).

The London Bin Man
I watched a programme on the BBC about people going to do their jobs in a third world county. this particular programme was about a London bin man who swapped the london dust cart for a barrow in Jakarta.
Now the place where quite different as you can imagine and the living conditions where poor, but the Londoner was determined to see it through.
he lived with a dustman and his wife and young child, and each day when out to work on the bin round.
the place where he stayed was basical a dumping groud that was supposed to be cleared every day by local authorities, but this rarely happened. It was also a place where a lot of fly tipping went on and this only added to the problems.
After each days work the bin men and families would look through the rubbish to find anything they could salvage and sell. The wage they got just about paid the rent so by selling what they found was the only way of having enough to buy food.
later in the programme it showed us the local authorities come and clear all the rubbish . Word had got out about the London bin man being there and so I guess they may have been trying to cover up the problem, but the point was that th rubbish was totally clear and that had never happened before.
The next day a ladie from the big posh house from when they wher collecting the rubbish came to see the london man for herself. She was part of the residence commity that paid the bin men for the service.
The London man soon said to this lady, ''you pay these guys wage and that wage bearly pays for the rent, and this man lives in this comdition in a small shack while you live in your big posh house which this man clears rubbish from, surely you can pay him a little more so he can feed his family without having to go through your rubbish for items to sell.
At the end of the programme the news was that the resindents commity had agree to a meeting with the Lonon Bin man and in that meeting had agreed to raise the pay within 3 months.
Not only had the presence of the man from london ment that all the rubbish was cleared but it also ment he could speak to the people that the local men were afraid to speak too and had secured a pay rise for the Jakarta men.
A bin man, not a king or a priminister, or a popstar or a filmstar, a bin man. An average guy doing an average job (one which not many would want) had gone to that place and mad maybe small changes but great changes to the guys in Jakarta. He had the courage to stand up and ask for more, he had the experience of his life in london to see how bad life was for the man in Jakata.
If a bin man can make this difference to lives, then my guess is everyone can.
We maybe should start thinking big and ask ourselves what we could do the make a difference.

"With God anything is possible"
Isnt it amazing that we all have the ability to change lives, we all have the ability to make a difference and if you truly believe in good anything is possible.
OK maybe we cant change the world on our own but many people together and with god in our hearts then what a difference we can make.
Promises
There once was a business man who needed help to get an important order out to a customer. He hired a worker for a days work to help him.
By lunch time it was clear that the order was far from complete and another worker to help complete the order.
By mid afternoon there was still much to do, so the business hire another worker to help.
With one hour left (although almost complete) there was still work to do so he decided to hire another worker to help get the work complete.
at the end of the day the order was dispatch and the business was paid in full for his service. The workers lined up to collect their wage starting with the last hired to the first hired.
the business man gave all the worker the same wage and on seeing this the worker hired first said ''I have been here all day, yet you give me the same money as the worker that only did 1 hour'' the business man look at the worker and said ''why are you so angry? I have given you what I promised.
You see the business man had promised all the workers a days money, and had given them a days money.
God promises to us are the same, and if you ask god for forgiveness and to come into your life then he keeps those promises because he love us and wants the best for you.
God is the same today as yesterday, and will be the same tomorrow. if you ask god wholeheartedly into your life he will keep his promise and that promise is the same for everyone.
''If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. ''
''For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.''
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.''

Why not listen to UCB RADIO fantastic way of get closer to god........
Im not one for reading the bible (shocking) and the truth is I find it hard to read and most of the time I find myself not understanding it properly anyway without someone there to explain it to me.
but I have found UCB UK a radio christian station that helps me to get more understanding of God and with a style of ''short sharp bursts'' it has helped me to learn more about being a christian..... Oh and good music to.
Word For Today is also a great item and although sometimes I just dont get it, most day it helps me to understand things and lean things about the bible.
UCB TV is also availible

Unanswered Question
In a low time of my life I found my self at the door of my first Sunday school teachers house. I must say I'm not 100% sure why I went there and can honestly say It wasn't something I had planned to do.
We chatted and she asked me if Ive ever read the believers prayer, I said I had read it a few time to myself.
She asked me if I wanted to read it out loud with her which I did.
''Lord Jesus Christ, I am sorry for the things I have done in my life.

''Lord Jesus Christ, I am sorry for the things I have done in my life.
I ask your forgiveness.
Thank you for dying on the cross for me to set me free from my sins.
Please come into my life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and be with me forever
Thank you Lord Jesus, Amen"
I went away feeling positive and the rest of the week went by OK and I felt more able to see the light at the end of a long tunnel.
A week Later I found myself going back to her and once again we chatted and talked about how the week had been.
She asked to pray with me and while she did she put her hands on my head.
I started to feel a heat in my head and it moved its way down to my shoulders then my arms and chest. I could almost feel my arms burning and sweating as the heat went into my legs.
She finished praying and after a moment of silence she asked if I felt anything.
Now, I'm not the sort of person that will give to much away so I asked her what I should have felt (I didn't want a false reaction) as I am a cynical person. She Said ''HEAT''
Well that answer to me was amazing, as it was exactly what I felt.
I went home later that day I a friend was at our house, I started to tell him about the experience and before I could finish he said to me... ''Did you feel heat?" I laughed and said to him... how did you know that? he had no idea about it.
The next day went by and all was quiet. However the next day I was at work and as I was about to shut up shop and go home some music came on the radio and for some reason I sat and listened.
I still had some questions unanswered and gusted I felt I would never understand. The Question was.. Was this all false? Had my state of mind brought about this experience? was I looking for a way out of the way I had been?
The song that I sat and listened to answered these questions. and i truly believe god had lead me to the house where I prayed with a friend, and had somehow played this song for me to hear that day.
